The form-fitting Mountain Hardwear Women's Sarafin Sweater is a sexy everyday top and a super comfortable mid-layer. Ribbed raglan sleeves and varied coloring on the body mean this long-sleeve top goes great with jeans, and the welted split-neck gives it a graceful look. When worn beneath your ski or snowboard jacket, the Sarafin Sweater's thumbholes prevent sleeve-bunching, and the flat seams eliminate irritating pressure points.
Bottom Line: Mountain Hardwear Sarafin Sweater has modest sex appeal.
This is a great sweater! I also have the cardigan, too. Found both items to fit like standard Mountain Hardwear clothes. Love the green color! Washes well, too!
The Sarafin sweater is attractive and becoming......love it! It is also very warm......almost too warm to wear socially, so an attractive sports item. We may as well look great when hiking and skiing!
This sweater looks great at work & play, washes beautifully every time. Its warm and cozy not itchy. I now have one in all 4 colors. it has become my favorite top all around.Love the thumb holes they feel natural . Above all my husband says its sexy!
Let 'er rip. This is a beautiful sweater and oh so yummy. The fit is true to size--I got a small (5'6"/123 lbs)and it fits well. I think it will be a great layer for skiing!
I ordered this sweater and loved it!! I ordered it in 2 more colors! This is an extremely versatile sweater that I have been able to wear to work, and it would also be right at home in the outdoors. It's rugged enough for outdoor activities. Pull the thumbholes down to convert to hand warmers. The wool is not itchy at all around your neck. You can fold it down, or keep it up for extra warmth. Mountain Hardwear has a winner with this sweater!
I've already bought two different colors, and it's only an extreme exercise in restraint that's preventing me from buying a third. i can wear it at work (it's that non-gear looking) or out on the weekend...it's very warm, but not so much so that it's oppressive for indoor wear. i probably won't use it as a technical layer, though...it seems a little bulky for that. i do think it runs a bit large (unlike most Mountain Hardwear gear)...i usually wear a small in most MH, but i got a better fit when i exchanged my small sarafin for an x-small. i have really sensitive skin and sometimes find this sweater a tad itchy, but it's nothing a light camisole doesn't solve. highly recommend the sarafin!
I got it in blue. I get compliments all the time. This sweater fits like a glove and is my favorite thing to slip on in the morning for my early classes. The thumb holes make it feel like you're wearing a blanket! I want to order every color. Great buy no doubt
This sweater is awesome! It goes from the trail to the city streets with style and flair! And Mountain Hardware's slim fit gives tall girls the sleeve length they need! Kudos to backcountry.com and Mtn Hardware for putting out and carrying an awesome product!
The sweater is quite attractive and roomy, but I returned it due to extra long sleeves that I didn't want to turn cuffs on and the sweater is a bit scratchy.
I bought this sweater as a christmas gift and upon receiving it I had to try it on before gifting it...it was at that point that I rushed to my computer to order one for myself! I wear it often and I'll probably wear it out. I hope Mountain Hardwear keeps this one around so I can order more of them!
The Mountain Hardware Sarafin Sweater is warmer than it looks. You can wear it to replace a jacket if the air is still, but it won't stop a breeze. It is soft but occasionally feels slightly itchy, so if you have sensitive skin you might want to wear it over a light bottom layer. I typically wear a 6-8 petite so the arms are a little long on me but would likely be perfect for anyone who wears regular sizes. The sizing on this sweater is slightly larger through the shoulders and mid-section than the Mountain Hardware Sarafin Cardigan, which is another great choice in this category.
A co-worker of mine wore this to work and luckily she didn't mind if I bought the exact same sweater (imitation is the greatest form of flattery). Stand-up collar gives this sweater a more finished look -- while still keeping it casual.
