Mountain Hardwear Refugium Insulated Jacket - Men's

If you have a cold body, a dead battery, or both, the Mountain Hardwear Men’s Refugium Insulated Jacket is the solution to your woes. Thanks to the Ardica MOSHI power system integrated into the jacket (battery pack sold separately) the Refugium provides up to 3 hours of continuous heat at it's highest setting, 8.6 hours at the low setting, and charges any USB compatible hand held device (phone, iPod, GPS) that requires less than 10 watts. The rechargeable power source gives you around 20 charges without needing a plug in, and Mountain Hardwear stuffed the jacket with Thermic Micro synthetic insulation for an additional heat boost.

Bottom Line: Warm the core, charge the electronics.

Just received mine. Haven't had a chance yet, but everything seems pretty slick. Excited to try it out. Full review coming soon.

Does it really works as advertised, i mean ... sometimes what is advertised doesn't really work?... and is the shell of the jacket resistant enough to ski with it?.

Tonatiuh. It works. I have one and have been using it. The shell does have a DWR but for really snowy days on the mountain it would probably work better as a mid-layer. On sunny days its weather proofness wouldn't matter and it would work perfectly as an outer layer as well. Enjoy!

Steven. Unfortunately, the vest does not exist yet from Mountain Hardwear. We are working on developing more Moshi powered products for the future so stay tuned!
