Three questions... 1) How wide is the brim? 2) Is the cape removable?

Three questions... 1) How wide is the brim? 2) Is the cape removable? 3) The manufacturer's site shows the mesh sides are black, so is this the most recent model?

1)7" across and 3" out from forehead in the middle. 2) cape is not removable but it tucks in flush. 3)This is not old and busted and the sides are not black.

Bought this for a river trip and was well pleased with the hat. Took full advantage of the mud flap on hot sunny day's, and wore it backwards on the overcast days.
