Before you venture into the frozen mountains, pull on the Mountain Hardwear Women's Power Pants. These sinfully soft heavyweight mid-layer bottoms insulate you during sub-zero adventures. Power Stretch fleece locks in warmth, breathes well, and wicks moisture. Its smooth face slides easily underneath shell pants. These pants' flatlock seams prevent irritation and pressure points—you won't even notice they're there. The Power Pants feature a wide, contoured waist and a slightly flared hem for a surprisingly stylish fit. Why? Because Mountain Hardwear knows you'll never want to take these babies off.
Bottom Line: If there's such a thing as luxury performance, the Mountain Hardwear Power Pants are the prime example.
Had such potential but small was too small, medium way too large, tried to shrink it, didn't work, now it's just collecting dust. Maybe it was a product defect because the gap in sizing was huge from small to med. Eventually I found one by O.R. - size small fits perfect
I am 5'11/145-150 and I originaly ordered the L, but then exchanged it for a M and still, now I think I need the small - and I prefer my stuff a little loose - but M drag on the ground behind my heel a bit. Definitly order a size down. The are however, way way soft and comfortable, warm and delicious. I don't mind that they are too big - I may just use them around the cold house and get the small for athletic stuff.
I bought them with the matching shirt and I love them. They are great for a cold day but very lightweight and soft. You should definitely buy both the shirt and pants.
Click on the "view sizing chart" button, and it tells the inseam of all the sizes of pants. They are all regular inseam lengths, so you can see what they all are.
I ordered these for platform tennis, played outside. I really needed to be warm, yet be able to move and run on the court. Because the game is played in cold weather, the layers are great. The most comfortable pants I have played in, and warm, with no binding or seams bothering me.
As stated above, these are awesome pants. They are a bit long (which is amazing for me.) I am 5'6" and all leg, and these were a bit too long, I am normally a 32 inch inseam, and these are 33's. The only other suggestion I have for them is to make the pocket a diagonal pocket, that way you don't have to hold your pant leg with one hand and zip with the other.
In Alberta, these pants work very well from fall to spring for outdoor trail running. I have gotten a few tears from branch snags off trail but that hasn't stopped me from ordering a second pair. These are warm and comfortable and generously sized.
I already have a black pair -- size small -- that I've worn for about 3 years. They are very warm & comfortable. The inseam is roomy (I am 5'11" & 135 lbs). These are my go-to pants for cold-weather training runs in the trails of northern Arizona.
