It can be hard to find a pair of climbing pants that are durable, stretchy, water-resistant, and that have a not-too-baggy, not-too-tight fit. Hard, that is, until you stumble across the Mountain Hardwear Men’s Piero Pants. Mountain Hardwear gave these bouldering pants a semi-fitted cut for comfort without a lot of excess bulk and articulated knees and a gusseted crotch for high-foot moves. A DWR finish comes in handy when it starts to sprinkle on your hike back to the car.
This is a very good wear and good looking pants, it can fit my body very well, and the size information from the Web site is exact what my size. I'm 172cm 61kg.

Hey Wendell,The best thing to do is jump on "live chat" and ask those folks. They can look up if there are any on order and if there are they can tell you roughly when they're expected to arrive.
These pants are great! Made for climbing: chalk bag loop, articulated knees, subtlety stretchy abrasion-resistant fabric. They fit really well, soooo comfy! If you are looking for a tough climbing pant these are your match, they look good too. The sizing is perfect for me, I wear the Med/Reg
My stitching started coming undone. Looked down at the gym one day and thread at the crotch seam was unravelling -- quite revealingly. I noticed the seams coming apart in several other places: above the right rear pocket and near the beltline in the front. I'm 6'2/165 -- skinny enough that I shouldn't be overstressing a stretchy, heavy nylon, gusseted climbing pant so much in less than two months. Bad thread, poor sewing? I dunno. The fabric and cut of the pants are great, and I was definitely looking forward to a long climbing partnership with these pants. I sent the pants into Mountain Hardwear in early December, however, and its February now and they've yet to get my pants back to me...
I got the Peat Moss color, and from the picture, it looks like a shiny, smooth material, but really it's a matte green color, with a slightly rough texture. The green is also a little lighter and less vibrant than it appears on the site (which is a good thing by me). The pants are pretty thick and burly; I don't think they'll ever wear out. Think of them as a family heirloom. The hip pockets have a nice soft fleece lining, but they're a little too small. I think the Mountain Hardwear nut-shaped rivets are a nice touch. I'm 5'9" with a 30 inch waist, and the 30/reg's are perfect.
these are nice pants, I got the last medium longs available anywhere this year after scouring the internet and pleading with Mountain Hardware to find me a pair. I'm very tall and these pants still come up a bit short unless you tuck the cuffs into some gaiters, then, the stretch material will make me a better fit. I, also, got a more expensive but similar pants that is the bees knees and that would be the Navigator pant. Again, as far as I am aware, I got the last medium long pant available. This pant is the best softshell I've seen yet, as the zip on off gaiters hook on to your boots and thus my size works for anywhere between 6 ft to 6'6". The Piero is a good compromise pant for the money
