Mountain Hardwear Phoenix Trifecta Jacket - Women's - 2008

Be prepared for any conditions when you head for the mountains with the Mountain Hardwear Women’s Phoenix Trifecta Jacket. This versatile three-in-one jacket features a waterproof breathable Conduit shell with a removable synthetic insulation jacket, so you can wear one or both pieces depending on the weather. The shell’s fleece-lined hand pockets help you warm up on cold mornings, and the welded Underarm zips let you vent on warm afternoons. On cold days in town, leave the shell behind and strut your stuff in fluffy warmth. When you hit the slopes on a sunny spring day, zip out the liner and roll back the shell's adjustable hood.

Bottom Line: Full versatility for any mountain weather.

Hi, I usually buy smalls in mountain hardwear which give me a little room to move comfortably. Would it be recommended to buy a small in this jacket or would an extra small be a better since its a 3-in-1? Thanks

I don't think there is any reason to change the size because it is a 3 in 1. I would go with what you typically wear in Mountain Hardwear. Cheers!

AMAZING jacket

I love this Jacket! It can totally be worn in all seasons and it looks great on too! the shell rocks and keeps me warm even in very cold temperatures, on the warmer days the pit vents work wonders. I recommend this jacket to everyone. Only complaint is sometimes I have a little bit of trouble with the zipper on the shell. thats it - other than that this jacket ROCKS!

I have not heard that it runs small. It is a 3 in 1 jacket meaning that it comes with a shell, a liner, and then with both combined. Because of the layering it is cut a little bit more generously but is still shapely enough to provide a good fit. Hope this helps!

Are there any photos of the interior layer? It's hard for me to imagine what it might be like, since I've only had experience with three-in-one parkas. I'm looking for a hooded, waterproof, warm coat, but if it's like conventional convertibles, I'll have to pass.

The inside is really cute. It is a satin like material that looks good by itself. The inside is very warm and soft thin fleece. looks good, not like your typical 3 in one.

The body length on this is 27". That is measured from the base of the hood in the back of the jacket to the back hem. I don't have the sleeve measurement... sorry.
