Mountain Hardwear Petra Short - Women's - 2008

When the rock gets too hot for pants, wear the Mountain Hardwear Women's Petra Shorts. Breathable and stretchy, these shorts move with you on those gymnastic routes. An inseam gusset increases your freedom of movement when you're negotiating a crimpy face. The Petra's abrasion-resistant nylon-spandex blend holds strong next to granite and harnesses. Mountain Hardwear added a chalk bag loop at the waist and a zippered thigh pocket.

Great length and lots of stretch so restriction of movement by clothing is never a problem!

Great Shorts

My only complaint with these shorts is that the length makes for funky tan lines. That said, these are great for climbing, biking, kayaking/canoing, and whatever else you want to do outdoors. They repel water, stains simply wash out, and they are very abrasion resistant. I found they were true to size - the measurements on the chart were exact.

Great Climbing Shorts

These shorts are great for climbing! They stretch, so they won't restrict movement, are lightweight and breathable, and are long enough so they don't bunch up under a harness. Finally, a short made for women climbers! I wear a size 4, but took a 6 in these. The waist is adjustable on the inside so they don't fall down.

like the other reviewer wrote, these shorts are lightweight, stretchy, tough and long enough to fit well under a harness. they're perfect! t found them to be true to size as well.
