Mountain Hardwear Lodown Jacket - Women's

You’re pretty sure underarm vents were invented specifically for you. What better way to deal with your, ‘now I’m chilly, now I’m a bit hot, now I’m chilly again’ issue? Mountain Hardwear built extra-long underarm zippers into the puffy Lodown Jacket.

  • 650-Fill down for torso warmth
  • Inner stretch cuffs boost wrist coverage and bridge the cuff-to-gloves gap
  • Fleece-lined hand pockets for no-gloves days
  • Slightly wavy quilting for eye-pleasing style

Bottom Line: On its own for walks downtown, under a ski shell for super-cold slope days.

Casual jacket, not fit for rugged outdoor sports

By:
October 19, 2009

This jacket is better as a city and casual outdoor jacket. I would not use it for more rugged outdoor activities. There is no sinch chord at the waist and the waist sits just above the hips, so it would not be good for snow sports or rainy, windy weather. However, it would fir underneath a rain shell.

The fleece liner at the collar and the cuffs is my favorite feature, it is very soft and adds a nice touch. I also really like the pit-zips. They are very user friendly. Nice inside pockets for stashing wallet, ipod, shades, etc.
