Mountain Hardwear Light Wedge 2 Tent 2-Person 3-Season

The Mountain Hardwear Light Wedge 2 Tent combines a simple design with comfortable dimensions for three-season backpacking and car camping. A classic X pole configuration makes for speedy setup, and the cave-style entrance features a large vestibule for your boots and packs.

  • Mountain Hardwear’s Tension Shelf for added stability in bad weather
  • SVX window lets you check the weather without going outside
  • Canopy storage pockets organize your small items
  • Reflective accents for visibility in low light
  • Optional footprint (sold separately) works with rain fly and poles for a lightweight shelter

Bottom Line: A classic backpacking tent without the claustrophobic dimensions.

Light Wedge 2 Tent

So, not claiming to be ultra extreme with camping, however I find this tent super user-friendly, light, and durable. My last tent had zipper problems, moisture management problems, and never seemed to sit up quite right- the wedge has worked great for me. It was a good buy-- and I bought it for a lot more than it is online here.

Tom -
I'm a writer for backcountry, and perhaps I can shed some light - oftentimes the specs tent companies give on their websites or customer catalogs is the MINIMUM weight, which means the weight of the fly, poles, and tent body. This doesn't include stakes, stuff sacks, or other parts. Sometimes in our vendor catalogs we have a trail weight, which reflects those extra things. The mistakes could be due to this, although we're double checking them to be sure. Thanks.

Fast and Reliable

I bought this product looking looking for a fast and easy to set up tent that will keep out the elements for 3-seasons. The product is exceptional at both. I can set it up by myself very quickly and it has never leaked. The gear vestibule is another feature that I have really enjoyed in addition to its small size when packed.
