Mountain Hardwear Haven Tent 2-Person 3-Season - 2007

Mountain Hardwear made the two door-equipped walls on the Haven 2-Person 3-Season Tent vertical to eliminate dead space, decrease weight, and keep the rain out when you enter it. This design, in combination with the Haven't concave front wall, increases usable vestibule space to a massive 14sq ft. That's more space than most expedition tents have to stash gear and cook when you're waiting out the rain. The back door doesn't get left out. It has it's own vestibule large enough to store a pack. With all this extra living space, you won't ever want the storm to clear up. But when it does, this 4lb 13oz tent will be easy to carry to the next camp site.

Bottom Line: There's more space for everything in the Mountain Hardwear Haven 2-person 3-season tent.

Mountain Hardwear does make a footprint for this tent (Backcountry.com Item# MHW0368). But at this time, sorry they are sold out.

I bought the 3 person (Haven 3) tent a couple of years ago after much research. What a tent! It's very roomy, has more vestibule area than most or all other tents in it's class, does great in rain, and holds up to a young golden retriever! It sets up easily and is quite stable. Pretty light, too! The only complaint is that it has had a slight buildup of moisture inside the tent on a couple colder, spring trips (I live in SE Wyoming). I have used it in every climate from snow to the beach and it has yet to disappoint. Hey, you get what you pay for, and with outdoor gear it's very true. You seldom go wrong with MH. I bought mine from REI and could exchange it for something else if I wanted, but other than the Big Agnes, I haven't found anything that fits my needs and quality/feature/functionality requirements. Hope this helps.

This tent is super easy to set up. I'm talking like 5 minutes. And the dual vestibules are super nice to have to store extra gear out of the rain. The window in the rainfly works well. At under 5 pounds, it carries very easily. All around, the tent is quality. Also, I have not noticed any condensation on the inside. It seems to breathe very well.
