Mountain Hardwear Futuna Short - Women's - 2008

Maybe you're stoked on wearing hiking shorts with performance fabric and a length that's flatteringly short without going too far. Mountain Hardwear is stoked on it too, which is why it made the Women's Futuna Shorts. These durable, lightweight nylon shorts repel water when it starts to drizzle and stretch when you lengthen your stride on downhill sections of trail. Mountain Hardwear gave the Futuna Shorts a wicking, soft, micro-chamois waistband that feels comfortable under your backpack waist-belt and a cool five-inch-long inseam. The UPF-50-rated fabric blocks harmful sun rays.

Bottom Line: Comfortable, durable, stretchy sun protection on the trail.

What is that rainbow thing on the side? Is it something that could easily be removed even if by way of simply cutting it off? It is very unattractive, but I love the way Mountain Hardwear products fit me so I would like to be able to make use of these.
