The Mountain Hardwear Women's Freeheel Jacket isn't just for telemark skiers, although free-heelers love its waterproof fabric, articulated cut, and all-around versatility. Soft tricot lines the interior, and a Conduit laminate stops snow and water from getting through to the compatible Mountain Hardwear fleece you've zipped in. Stretch shoulders and synthetically insulated, articulated sleeves keep your arms warm and mobile while you make turns through backcountry trees. Stash your goggles, water bottle, and iPod in their inner pockets, attach the stretch powder skirt, and skin up to that beckoning ridge. Before dropping down, zip-up the watertight pit vents and draw the single-pull hood snugly around your face. A micro-chamois-lined collar keeps your chin rash free while you link lines down the slopes.

Great ski jacket

I bought this jacket for my wife this ski season. She has worn it several times and loves it. She wanted a shell to zip in a Mountain Hardware liner jacket. This works for that. The Freeheel Jacket is warm and offers good wind protection. It has lots of pocket and features, plus a good size hood. Overall, a great ski jacket.
