Mountain Hardwear Epic Jacket - Women's

When storm clouds threaten you’re day in the backcountry, the Mountain Hardwear Women’s Epic Jacket is there to keep you dry until the tempest passes. This lightweight rain shell features a waterproof breathable Conduit laminate to seal out moisture and an adjustable, roll-away hood to keep your dome dry. Watertight underarm zips let you dump heat on warm days, and an arm pocket holds your lip balm, energy bar, or other small essentials.

Bottom Line: Epic protection for epic weather conditions.

Epic...no...but I got it for cheap

i'm 5'3'' 125 pounds of cycling madness. I got this jacket for a wicked deal, but I wasn't aware of how huge the sizes run! Usually in America the sizes always run TOO SMALL!!! Anyhow, I got a Women's size medium... it was too big ladies! I purchased the color green...which shouts out *HERE I AM*...horrid color....they should put a warning label about that color. Cycling down hills I wasn't worried about going too fast, because the jacket became a horrid neon-green parchute! If I wanted...it could become my little house as well.

Well, as for rain/wind...you better have some type of base layer underneath capable of wicking.
otherwise you are better off with using a home-made garage bag pancho.

I have crashed with this jacket on (going about 20 mph), and the material is extremely durable.
Overall--
--just invest your money, and buy a rainjacket that is capable of wicking as well. Invest in perhaps a gore-tex material.

I'm 5'7" and 125 lbs and ALWAYS wear a size small no matter what the brand. Don't know what this reviewer was thinking buying a medium. This jacket fits me perfectly in size small. It definitely runs true to size -- although having long arms, I sure wish the sleeves had a little more length...
