Mountain Hardwear Downtown Down Jacket - Women's

We know you’re already totally sold on the Mountain Hardwear Women’s Downtown Down Jacket simply due to its lovely swirly stitched design and the 650-fill down insulation that keeps you cozy as a polar bear. But just so you know, the jacket also features a velour fleece lining and chamois collar to amp up the inner fuzz factor. Durable ripstop outer fabric, fleece-lined hand pockets, an interior zip pocket, and dual hem drawcords help make this jacket down-right dreamy and ski-town worthy.

Bottom Line: Get down.

Warm, Fluffy, and Warm

By:
November 12, 2009

This is a wonderfully warm jacket. Living in Yosemite National Park I needed something that would keep my core warm during the winter months. So far this has been a blessing. Here are some great things I've noticed:
1. The down feathers don't poke through the material to irritate my skin
2. It's not to horribly puffy to make me look like the Michelin man (I'm 5ft tall so overly puffy jackets tend to overwhelm me)
3. It keeps my core warm
4. The pockets are a soft fleece and wonderfully warm
5. There's a nifty fuzzy liner around the neck that feels nice against the neck and stays warm.
6. The patterning of the stitching breaks down the amount of puffy
7. Still kinda puffy and runs a little large (but what can you do with a down jacket, puffy is expected). Which is nice if you wear several layers underneath.

The pricing isn't to bad for this good quality jacket. I shopped around for a while and this was the best find I could get.
