Light as a feather and smooth as butter, the Mountain Hardwear Women's Butter Zippity wicks moisture and babies your skin while you cover ground on a hiking trip. This base layer sees you from warm-weather backpacking trips to backcountry ski tours. Once you treat yourself to the super soft, moisture-wicking fabric and flat-lock seams this long-sleeve top offers, you'll never go back. Mountain Hardwear’s Thumbholes mean you can throw on a rain or ski jacket without bunching, and a slim fit gives you tons of après-ski appeal.
Super stretchy, soft, and supple. Wicks moisture away well. I'm definitely getting another one. I'm 5'6" and 125lbs and a small fits well- not too tight, and tailored so it's not baggy around the waist.
I've been lugging heavier synthetic cool-weather running shirts into the backcountry as a base layer for sleeping and sitting in camp after sunset. This shirt looks like a fantastic lightweight alternative with similar features. I'm wondering, though, will it be long enough through the body? So many stretchy shirts end up being short-waisted on me. I'm 5'8" and 125# and a 34B. I guess I have a long torso or something. I have a great Sugoi running shirt that fits so well, but at 10 oz, it needs to stay at home on my next long trip. Can anyone speak to the cut of this shirt length-wise?
I'm 5'7 128lbs with a long torso and I absolutely LOVE these shirts, I now have 3. The medium is what I wear and maybe most women could get away with a small but I weight lift and have a lot of muscle in my shoulders and lats so frequently shirts that fit my torso are too tight in the armpits. I don't know if the small is shorter in the torso. Super comfortable!
This shirt is great for hiking, running, and lounging. I went on a hike where the climate changed from super sunny to somewhat cold and all I had to do was roll up and down the sleeves and I was set. I like the thumb holes too for running in somewhat cold conditions. Super soft, one of my faves.
I looked at the size chart for the Butter Zippity and I fit the XS size. I'm concerned that it may be too tight based on the reviews. Is anyone else my size that could give me a better idea on what size to buy? I'm 5'6" and 113.
Depending on how you will be wearing it I would get either a small or X-small. This is one of the most stretchy garments we have in our line so I would probably err to the smaller size. Due to the stretch I could fit in an X small!! Probably wouldn't but still. You get the point. Hope this helps!
You could wear this Butter Zippity as a baselayer in those temperatures in conjunction with other outerwear. As a baselayer the butter top does a great job of wicking and it is very stretchy. Hope this info helps.
I bought one shirt and within a week I now own 3 BECAUSE they are my favorite exercise shirt and I don't want to wear the others anymore. I'm spoiled by the soft, comfortable, great wicking, the thumb hole . . . As far as fit, I am 5'7 around 128lbs but big shoulders from weight lifting. So for me, in order to fit comfortably under my armpits, I wear a medium. Most women my size could probably go with a small, unless you too lift weights and have bigger shoulders and lats.
This shrit has quickly become my favorite go-to shirt for running this winter. Super soft, wicks well, has ventilation with the zippered neck, and the thumb holes are well placed. I love having some material on my hands during cold weather so I don't usually need to bring gloves with me. It's an all-round great piece of gear.
This is my favorite shirt for running in the winter. It's also my go-to layer for skiing. It transitions well from the slopes to apres-ski. It is super soft and the thumb holes keep it in place. I am 5'2" and 120# and the small fits right...not too tight, but form-fitting. I now have this shirt in 3 colors b/c I seem to wear them all the time.
