love the colour and the fit... but is irritatingly itchy on the skin, I am surprised as it is mountain hardware and my icebreaker merino top is not at all itchy.

This is my first wool performance base layer, so I was skeptical. I've always used synthetics. I wore it on a 3 hour mountain bike ride in cold weather...cold enough to see your breath. I usually get cold fast, but the even with the microfiber weight, I was fairly warm, with the exception of the first part of the downhill. At the end of the ride, the shirt was only slightly damp (the area that covers the back of my sports bra). It's now my favorite long sleeve jersey. I just wish the crew neck was a little larger. It was a tight fit getting my head through and I wear a small in bike helmets. Other than that, the fit is great. I hope Mountain Hardwear will make one with a zip-neck.

I handwashed the top and put it on.
It feels great, except it is hard to get over my head. Then I noticed, that it has 3 little holes, so I will send it back. The body felt fine, but maybe I should get one size larger and the next heavier style? The body itself does not feel too small, however.
