MontBell Ultralight Thermawrap Pant - Men's
For high-altitude climbs or frigid nights in camp, the MontBell Men’s Ultralight Thermawrap Pant insulates your lower half from the biting chill. Stuffed with compressible Exceloft synthetic insulation, this pant keeps you toasty even if it happens to get wet. 3/4-length side zips let you pull it on and off quickly, and zippered hand pockets hold your small items.
Bottom Line: We know you have a puffy jacket; don’t make your lower half jealous.

I have worn these pants in winter conditions in MN down to -20F. I had sufficient layers on elsewhere, too.

Full zips are unnecessary and make the pants more fumbly and complicated to put on in the field. Ever tried putting full-zip pants on above treeline in the wind? I love 3/4 zip pants (Mtn Hardware, Arcteryx have them too). Unzipped I can easily stick my size 11 boot through, even with crampons if I am careful, and will have the pants on before I've figured out which side zips to what in a full-zip pant. They also save having zipper bulk and stiffness under your climbing harness or pack waistbelt. They also won't inadvertently unzip from your waist - which you usually find out when you get a cold snow injection.
