Mission Playground Sophie Top - Long-Sleeve - Women's

Why not bring the softness, warmth, and breathability of merino wool into your casual wardrobe? Have doubts that merino can come in casual, cute style? Just look at the Mission Playground Women’s Sophie Long-Sleeve Top. Mission Playground made this shirt with a scoop neck and spaghetti drawcords at the neckline. Raglan sleeves add mobility, thumb loops prevent bunching when you slip on your winter jacket, and the merino wool naturally blocks odors so you can pack less for winter vacations.

Bottom Line: Merino wool disguised in a casual top.

Nice but not quite right

Nice length on sleeves (fits halfway up the hand) and long torso length (fits well below waist). The only problem? The neckline doesn't lay well. It has a funky inch strip of fabric on the inside of the collar that makes the neckline look chunky. May not be a problem in the long run, but for the money, I haven't decided if it's worth it yet.

This top is really well made - you can tell they used really high-quality merino wool (it's so incredibly soft). I could have used an xs, but they didn't have any, so I settled for a s, so it's great for wearing over a tank-top or short-sleeve shirt. Not sure whether it's the xs-vs-s factor or what, but it's not very fitted, so it tends to look sweatshirt-y on me. I like the neckline (isn't itchy for me), but I cut off the tie thingies (not my style). It's pricey, but I'm excited to have a casual-type shirt that won't get stinky on non-laundry vacations and hiking trips.
