The Mion Men's Ebb Tide Slide Sandals give you incredible traction, comfort, and stability as you hop over slippery rocks on your way to a secluded beach. At low tide, slip your feet into the Waterproof Super Structure, pull on the Super Structure cord and make head to your secret spot. This climbing-grade cord tightens around critical areas of your foot to give you unbelievable stability with no pressure points. Pay no mind to the seaweed covered boulders as you hike around the beachhead—the Gripstick rubber outsole's four-way siping ensures bomber traction over wet and dry terrain. Explore the hidden sands all day and by the next low tide, the Ebb Tide sandal's anatomically-shaped Ergomorphic Footbed will have formed to the shape of your foot, giving you a personalized, custom-fit like no other—hence the name Mion (pronounced My-Own).
Bottom Line: The beach doesn't have to be secluded for you to enjoy the Mion Men's Ebb Tide Slide Sandal's incredible comfort, stability, and traction.
Ever since these shoes arrived two weeks ago I haven't worn any other shoes (except when it's raining outside) When it gets cold outside I just put on some extra thick socks and I am out the door. They are kind of strange looking and I probably won't attract a husband wearing this but too bad, my feet come first.
I bought these on sale last year right before going on a couple of commercial river trips. The guides all looked at them like I was crazy, but after the river trips, trips to Nicaragua and Hawaii-I am sold on them-they are awesome
~I highly recommend these. They look different than most sandals. They come in nice colors. They are very comfortable and unique. I love the snap adjustment too.
I already own a pair of Mion sandals which cover the heel. This pair is open in the back like Crocs only these look way cooler. I'm a teacher and I wear them almost every day. My "cool rating" has gone way up with my kids, and they want to know where they can get them! I wear them when I get out of the shower; I wear them around the house and outside washing the car or puttering around in the garden; I wear them when I travel because they are a breeze to take off when I go through the X-ray machines at the airport. When winter comes, I will wear thick/thermal socks and continue to slip these babies right on! My only issue is with the arch support: I could use a bit more, but that's just me. They're still very comfortable when I want to rejuvinate them, I just drop them in the washer and let them air dry. Those of you who like Keens and other closed toe sandals will love these shoes!
These make excellent boat shoes and they are comfortable enough and provide the perfect amount of arch support to allow you to wear them just about anytime and anywhere.
I have worn sport sandals on a daily basis since the days of the early Alps and Tevas. I recent years, I have been using Chacos, Keens, and Crocs (probably the most comfortable of all). These Mion sandals have the sad distinction of being the most uncomfortable ever. The footbed is O.K., but the upper is remarkably uncomfortable. I ordered one size smaller than my usual size based on online recommendations and the size is fine. I have worn these sandals for a few days in the hope of breaking them in a little bit, but they are not improving. In spite of their soft and comfortable appearance, it is almost impossible to obtain a satisfactory adjustment of the upper. When adjusted to any degree of snugness, each passage of the cord bites quite painfully. In half a day of work today, these sandals have worn through my socks in several places. I think these are very cool looking sandals, but based on my experience they are all style and no substance.
Very comfortable kicks. The traction is amazing. The siping is why. If you don't know what siping is it is little slits in the sole and when you don't need as much traction they stay shut for longer wear. When the sole is under pressure the slits split a bit and create hundreds of biting edges holding on really tight. Pretty cool. These are super comfortable and the lacing gets them fit to your foot so you get great support. Think comfort of Crocs with a killer sole and support. They also have a shank in the sole so you don't have sharp rocks poking up into your foot. Very unique looking and that is a good thing. I love mine.
