Metolius Climbing Tape Roll - 2007

Metolius Climbing Tape has an infinite number of uses for a day on the rock. It handles everything from taping for a hand crack to basic first aid procedures. This 1.5-inch wide, 33-foot long roll of athletic tape helps you protect your mitts for a burly day at Indian Creek, helps cover that split tip after bouldering in Bishop, and helps you support the ankle you rolled hiking down the East Ledges in Yosemite.

Bottom Line: Never start a day of climbing without a roll of Metolius Climbing Tape in your pack.

it works

There isn't a whole lot you can do with to improve or screw up tape. This is dependable tape that works well and rips easy enough when taking a piece off the roll and stays on your hands when climbing. I recommend it.

Couldn't ask for better

Let's be honest, it's just a role of tape. Larry is right, though. It is the Cadillac of tape. Sticks well, the roll is wide enough to tear in half. The tape is durable and doesn't get in your way when climbing. Even good for nasty, torn-up hands when I row.

There's a Difference

By:

Metolius tape is better than Mueller or other brands. It's thicker, it stays where you put it, and it tears into strips easier. Just spend the extra $1.40 and buy good tape. Cadillac of tape... Yes!

Cadillac of tape

By:

IMHO, this is the Cadillac of tape. I think it's a little expensive, but well worth it. Other tape isn't as adhesive and it doesn't apply as well. I would say it's best to make reusable tape gloves to save ducats.

Good stuff

Good tape. sticky, and tears into small strips easier and neater than some other tape I've used. It's nice to not have those stringy pieces all over when you're taping split fingers.

Some great tape

This tape is basically the same as any athletic tape, no major differences at all. If there is a difference, I would say that this tape seems to sit a bit thicker on the hand, and almost be softer. It could just be me and my love of Metolius; or it could be true. I have tried other tape and it doesn't feel as nice.
