The hardest thing about dressing for a day in the snow is predicting how you should layer. But with the Merrell Women’s Ankeny Jacket, you have ample options to adapt to whatever the weather throws at you. Nobody likes the lift-line shivers, but nobody likes the ski-touring sweaties either. So you’ll appreciate the Ankeny Jacket’s waterproof outer shell, removable hood, and removable insulated liner jacket. When it’s blowing hard or you’re stuck on a hideously long lift ride, you’ll appreciate having all three on. I don't have a specific weight for you, but it isn't heavy by any means, but, it isn't exactly a windbreaker either. It's on the thin side - I haven't tested it in the cold so I can't vouch for how well/poorly it will hold up to the Midwest winters!!

Two words: Love It. Fit me like a glove. I bought it in the aqua - such a pretty shade too. It's really unique, not bright, but vibrant. I hope it's a warm jacket because I want to wear it ALLLLL winter long!
