Mavic Deemax UST MTB Wheels - 2008

Open the downhill MTB dictionary, and look under “indestructible”. Instead of words, there's just a picture of the Mavic Deemax UST Wheels. Everything about this wheelset screams burly, from the oversized hubs and black-anodized stainless spokes, to the fore-drilled, welded UST tubeless disc-only rims and the poisonously bright yellow paint scheme. It's as though Maxxis is begging you to run the biggest, most evil tires you can find, pick the gnarliest line on the map, and thrash the crap out of yourself trying to put these wheels out of true. Good luck with that, by the way. A word on choices: the Deemax is sold individually and in pairs; the rear wheel comes standard with a 10x100mm bolt-on hub, or an optional upgrade to 12x150mm. The Deemax front wheel has a 20x110mm through-axle, with an adapter for 9x100mm quick-release. If your name is Chuck Norris or you are a rhinoceros, you may want to consider the Mavic MP3 3-Year warranty option (available in the drop-down menu). *Please be sure to match the correct warranty card with your specific wheel or wheelset.

Bottom Line: Do not taunt the Deemax—it knows where you live.

Hum, site says they are "Permanently Out of Stock". So guess it doesn't matter but the 2008 model ran $699 retail.

DeeMax Front Wheels will work on Disc-Ready
(with the caliper mounting tabs on the left-rear-lower Fork Leg)
Front Forks that are either QR-ready (9mm), or 20mm Thru Axle...

(Forks are just that - 'Forked'! {a Left and a Right Leg})
Cannondale has their proprietary 'Lefty' Front Shock {or, being silly, a 'fo-', because the other half, the '-rk' is 'missing'...

These Mavic DeeMax Wheels are NOT for Lefty Shocks/Forks
(unless you relace the front rim to a Lefty Hub)...

Cannondale also has their older proprietary 'HeadShock' Forks (where the front 'Shock' absorber is inside the HeadTube of the Bicycles Frame)...

The DeeMax MIGHT work on these, if they are Disc Brake ready forks...

Do you mean F7? If so then the answer is yes. As long as your Mtn bike has 26in wheels and disc brakes these wheels will fit.

No, these wheels are for use with disc brakes only. The Tarpon uses v-brakes. When you are looking for wheels check out the hub/brake compatibility on the right side of the screen, for your bike it should read "Rim Brake".http://www.backcountry.com/store/MAV0010/Mavic-Crossmax-ST-Wheel.html
