Fight the evening's biting breeze with the Marmot Women's Wigi Fleece Jacket. With its thick Boucle fleece material and deep hood, the stylish Wigi hugs you in cozy warmth. Bury your hands in the Wigi's fleece-lined front pockets when the evening chill sets in.
Bottom Line: From après ski parties to the city streets, the Wigi Jacket fits the bill.
i could have shopped at walmart and found something much better. worst feature, the seems are very bulky and the fleece is of less than desirable quality. i hope this saves some the trouble of sending things back.
Fitted style, but still kinda bulky looking, so not the right fleece for me. Very warm and soft though, so it might work well for those who are less concerned about bulkiness. I also disliked the flower embroidery around the Marmot logo, but the bulkiness was the dealbreaker for me.Regarding the question about whether it would fit someone who's a size 2 in bottoms and size 4-6 on top, I'd say yes.
I usually wear small or xsmall in everything also. I ordered the XS in this and it fit. But it is a very slim fit with no room to layer underneath. That's fine if you are just going to wear a tshirt but I wanted this as a "jacket" so I could take it off in restaurants, shopping, etc but then I would be cold if all I could fit under it was a shirt. This is VERY warm and fitted. I sent mine back because I couldn't layer underneath.

I usually wear a small, but I ordered an extra small because that's all that was left. Contrary to other reviews, I don't think this fleece is too bulky. It's the thickest fleece I've ever bought. I live in north-western Wyoming where it's very cold. This fleece is very warm and soft, which is what saved me from sending it back. I usually don't have issues with sleeves being too short, but the sleeves sit about two inches above the wrist, with arms relaxed. It was pretty cheap and warm, so I didn't care that much about the sleeves. It fit well everywhere else, and I'm 5'2, 120 lbs.
I really, really love this jacket! I'm just really sad now that the weather is starting to warm up. I want to wear this all day and night. Even my boyfriend likes the jacket, "it's like hugging a big teddy bear!" which is great because I can't do enough to get some hugs out of that guy!
So, you can imagine then this jacket is pretty thick and woolly inside and around the cuffs and pockets (although 100% polyester). I personally like the thick seams. You don't feel them at all and they help maintain the nice feminine shape (subtle angles at chest, hips and over rear). Other fleeces I've had stretch out into an unflattering blob and end up becoming home-lounging sweaters or cat bedding. The seams are also covered with contrasting black material which protects the stitching from damage. I personally like the contrasting colors. A strong wind can break through the jacket a little, but I'm usually so warm that it's actually pleasant/refreshing (Although I haven't worn this in temperatures less than 45 degrees, yet.)
The hood is very unique as well. It perfectly cups my whole head and forehead. When zipped up, the zipper goes over my chin and the hood never flies off even in the craziest winds. This jacket perfectly eliminates the need for drawstrings which only get in the way or tangled in the wash. The hood is even perfectly cut around your face so that you don't feel like you're wearing blinders. (Meaning, you can look to your left or right without having to turn your head all the way like other hoods.)
The zipper has a backing flap to prevent wind from penetrating through the zipper. Such a rare feature for a fleece jacket.
I don't know why someone said this jacket looks cheap. It has awesome style. The only thing I can think of is that the outside has stripes shaved into the fleece that makes it look like freshly shorn wool--or it can look like fleece is missing if you're less than 12 inches away. One of my friends was fooled and actually thought it was real wool from a black sheep. Anyway, this "poor quality" is actually some really nice styling techniques.
I'm really happy that the last reviewer says it gets softer with washing! It is already so soft that I've been scared to wash it.
Washing instructions, for those interested: "Machine wash warm. Powdered detergent. Rinse fabric thoroughly. No Fabric softeners. Do not iron, bleach, or dry clean. Tumble dry warm. Close all fasteners."
If you're thinking about this for a gift, I have received nothing but compliments from all ages (6-72). I believe the style is both practical, classic and "hip" plus it's super warm and comfy! Couldn't ask for more--except maybe a lower price, but I wouldn't want to sacrifice the quality or human rights to get it--though this is labeled "Made in China".
Sweet jacket - cool color (denim), great fit and style and it is a bit windproof as well. I'm looking forward to wearing it more in the fall and winter. It's definitely dressier than a typical fleece jacket but still sporty.
Does this jacket run large. Afraid to buy, because the last 2 things I bought, after following the sizing chart were 2 sizes too big! Would like to wear this fall, not send back again and again.Sizing please!
I don't feel this jacket runs big. It is a fitted style.I would suggest to consider when ordering what you will be wearing underneath it. I am a sz 36 bust,28 waist 5"41/2 feet tall and a small fits nicely, hopes this helps you.
I beg to differ that you can find something nicer at walmart. The fleece is of superior quality. It's plush and warm- down to 25 degrees, maybe more if layered and spacious. Seams are not bulky, it's part of the styling. This is a great buy with good colors.
I love this jacket. Took it to Glacier Nat'l park and it was perfect for brisk evenings. Great fit, style and protection from elements. I love it and it's nicer than a regular fleece.
I like this jacket because it looks good and is warm yet lightweight. Recommended for town wear instead of heavy duty outdoor stuff. I would not choose the Marmot to ski or winter camp in because the hood does not have a cord to tighten it around my head. It might run a tad small. I originally got my usual size large but had to change it in for an XL (which they did cheerfully and quickly), because it was snug around the shoulders.
I was happy to find this jacket as a replacement for nearly identical style by North Face that I wore into the ground. Got the first one in 2 days, but the sleeves were really short. Returned it and got the next larger size in 3 days. Cozy. But after wearing it 3-4 times, the bottom started flaring out. I don't have large hips, but after the last time I put it on, you'd never know! Sadly had to return it. Backcountry customer service was tops. Product was disappointing. Found a good one at Columbia, so I'm cozy again.
I'm always cold, so I wanted a jacket that was comfortable enough to wear around the house, but attractive and warm enough for outside. This one is perfect, especially for Washington State. There are only a handful of days in the year that the jacket can't be worn here. The medium is a bit big, but the roominess is comfortable and not unattractive.
I got one of these for my daughter in Reno Nevada. She LOVED this Jacket so much she wares it everywhere even indoors! The fit was perfect! I always have liked Marmot..... good value for the money.
I see there are already great reviews about this jacket, but I might as well add mine too! I love it! It's so warm, sometimes too warm for the fall weather--so I'm excited to have a fleece in the winter! It's cute and practical..just what I wanted!
Bought for the mother-in-law, the first hang up was the sizing. She's a large but the larges ran small, prompting an exchange and PITA return to get her the extra large. Backcountry was great but it was an added wrinkle. After getting the first one, I was tempted to chuck it because the material was so thin. I expected it to be light, but it felt a bit cheap. Fleece is everywhere nowadays and I didn't expect a heavy weight jacket, but looking at the image from Marmot, you'd think it thicker, at least plumper. The cut is respectable; she was pleased. The hood is fairly decent and the feminine touches (Marmot tag, etc.) here and there did impress her. Done again, I likely would have chosen something else. But I ran out of time and patience and in the end she was warm and relatively happy. I'd just hoped to have gotten 'more' from Marmot than we did.
I bought two of these as Christmas gifts, one for my wife and one for my sister. They love them. My wife wears hers all the time; we have even given the thing a nickname because it's with her at all times
First time I have ever bought a jacket online, got it home and I loved it. It is warm and looks good on. I read the size chart and got the medium because I read that they ran big(they do). The meduim was great for me even though I normally get a large.
I bought 2 Marmmot jacket's in xl, the blue true to size, the black xl smaller, was not happy about this. Otherwise jackets very good quality and look good.
I ordered this because I put on my daughter's jacket, and it looked wonderful. She told me she had washed it many times. So I ordered two--the black and the faded denim. Both are great, and the faded denim looks smashing.
