The Best Tent Ever.

While in the up reaches of Alaska hunting for the rare an elusive Kodiak bear this tent saved the lives of 4 of my team. We were caught in a blizzard the likes of which god has not seen. We pitched camp early-on when the storm rolled in. Wind gusts of over 80 miles an hour (measured with an actual wind speed tool) and sustained winds of about 60 quickly ripped apart all the other tents except this Marmot. The 5 of us huddled in the tent for over 4 hours. The tent held and had barley a scratch to show for it. We radioed later for a pick up and were told that none could come till the next morning. We broke camp and made our way to the pick up spot, setup camp again and got ready to wait until morning. We pitched the Marmot Thor 2P close to a tree and oddly not 30 minutes later as we were all gathered around the fire a branch not less then 100 lbs broke of and hit this tent squarely. When we pulled the branch off the tent sprung back to its original shape and had barley a scratch on it. It did get some tree sap on the fly but I can live with that. This tent has proven itself over and over. You can not buy a better tent. I’d stake my life for this tent...and did.
