marmot reactor micro fleece vest

By:

Got this vest the other day, i'm very pleases with the zipper, material's and quality .... its a 100 count lightweight for those spring mountain nights when your 200 long sleeve is just too much ... it weighs 4 oz ... i'll be carrying this with me on all trips from now on ... ya never know when it'll get a little nippy ... windy/cloudy 70 degree day can still put chills up your spine ... this will keep your vital organs nice an toasty ... no shivers.

Nice vest - toasty!

By:

I purchased this vest to replace a thread-bare old TNF Aurora vest I wore every day for about 9 years. This Marmot is every bit as nice, but a bit thicker and warmer than my TNF was.

I believe that the TNF Aurora was made from micro fleece (+ lycra side panels), while the Marmot is made from Polartec 100. I would guess that even though this is the thinnest of the Polartec lineup, that it's a good 50% thicker. Not a problem in the cool weather, but the Aurora was so good at providing the little "extra" warmth without being a whole other layer.

I'm a big Marmot fan, though, so I can't say anything bad about this vest or any of the many other pieces of Marmot clothing I own. This is right up there with the Dri Clime windshirt as something that will ALWAYS go into the daypack for hiking, skiing, cycling or whatever.

Marmot fleece vest

I worte this already on the wrong feed back page. I bought this product a few years back for my father. He wears it daily, as we live in the northern, midwest area, where it is cold mostly from Oct. - April. It is in great shape still, he just wanted another one.

Nothing fancy, but well made, good zipper, draw cord-locks in the pockets. Nice liner and an inside pocket too.
