Marmot Never Winter Sleeping Bag: 30 Degree Down - 2006

Given Outside Magazine's “Killer Value Award of the Year”, the Marmot Never Winter Sleeping Bag proves to be a winner. Critics agree this down sleeping bag rules for warm weather, lightweight camping. This 30-degree, 600-fill goose down bag is an excellent choice for the summertime enthusiast. Not only can it be stuffed into a bread loaf-sized stuff sack, it weighs under two pounds. Features include a classic trapezoidal foot box and an itch-free face muff. If you sleep out under the stars, the Pertex outer shell and lining provide extra weatherproofing and durability. If you're a river rat or a desert fox, the Never Winter Sleeping Bag is your ticket for any summer expedition.

Bottom Line: The award says it all. If you're a summertime warrior the Never Winter is unbeatable.

Excellent bag & a good bargain!

By:
November 17, 2006

I've used my Marmot bag for a few years now, and I completely love it. It's very well-designed. It's comfy (not too narrow, not too wide), lightweight, true to its temp rating, and packs down very small. The fat draft tube and excellent adjustable hood have kept me toasty a few degrees below its temp rating - no drafts! It breathes well for warmer nights, too - never clammy. I actually like this bag better than the very spendy Gore-Tex Feathered Friends Swallow it replaced.

Another Quality Marmot Bag

By:
July 18, 2006

The Never Winter is one of Marmot's best deals. Its comfortable and warm, plus cheap(compared to other Marmot down bags). The only dissapointment for me was that it doesn't have a collar to keep as much warmth in.

Arctic National Widlife Refuge

By:
September 26, 2006

I bought this bag for a two week trip to the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. The weather in the refuge was around 60 degrees during the day and hovered around 30 degrees at night. The bag kept me just warm enough for the late August nights in the Arctic.

Nite Nite

This is the nicest bag I've ever owned. I ordered the long version and I have plenty of room without it being super huge. I'm 6'3 210lb. I used to have a bag that was too small that compressed the down feathers making me cold. Not with this bag. The only thing I wish it had is a zippered foot box so my feet don't get sweaty during warmer weather. I took this to Longs Peak in lower 30's and I slept perfectly.

Excellent bag but heavier than advertised

By:
August 9, 2006

The bag was a great deal but it is heavier than advertised. I think the regular sized bag is about 2lb 2oz or so, not 1lb 15oz. Apart from the weight, the bag is well made and the materials seem to be of higher quality than other bags in this price range.
