Whether used as a layering piece or worn alone, the anti-microbial Marmot Men's Lightweight Long-Sleeve Crew wicks moisture away from your skin when you work up a sweat. The Lightweight Crew's stretchy Polartec Powerdry fabric provides a close, but non-restrictive fit while the Cocona anti-odor treatment keeps funk to a minimum. With its flat-locked seams and tag-free neckline, the Lightweight Crew manages comfort on all levels.
Bottom Line: Stay comfortable and dry with the help of the Marmot Lightweight Long-Sleeve Crew.
Another nice piece for layering in the winter, I hate shirts that have a wide loose neck but this is very nice stays up well . Fits nice and snug you don't want a loose 1st layer if top is loose the heat will escape . Happy with purchase nice quality
Keeps me nice and dry. It's not stinking like my under amour did, so thats awesome!!. It's a soft comfy shirt, most importantly... it feels good on your skin, made with quality material to last, great first layer, i got a medium, im 5'10, chest 40, waist 32. perfect fit :) I buy 10 of everything if i like em,,, so if they dont have black medium left it's cause of me. ha ha sucka!!!
How does this shirt fair on the smell factor? Would it be too warm for hot southern summers (I'm from Texas)? I'm looking at the long sleeve for sun protection.
It uses cocona technology to reduce the smell factor. Basically, it's activated carbon mixed in with the polyester that adsorbs the smell and releases it when it's washed. The great thing is that is actually gets better the more you wash it because more pores in the carbon open up. It might be a little warm for Texas summers, but the cocona also absorbs UV radiation.
I just took 2 of these baselayers on a 10 day trip through the San Juan Mtns, Arches, and Yellowstone. They may appear thin, but they provide a very large amount of warmth. I layered these under a 100 weight fleece and was fine in the 40's. They are definately worth purchasing (much cheaper than Under Armor). This site also provided its impeccable shipping speed.
I interchange this with my cold gear and these are awesome crews! They keep you dry, comfortable, cool/warm (depending on how you dress) in most hiking conditions. Will add more to my collection. Good prices too. Way to go backcountry!
Dude, this Lightweight Crew is a quintessential piece of Marmot gear: light, durable, comfortable, super functional, and stylish.
I've worn it running, biking, doing yoga, even out to jazz clubs and more formal classical music concerts. Seriously, underwear or dress up, it's totally happening,

I wear these for my base layers whether I'm working or playing. I spend six months in some of the harshest conditions in Afghanistan and th other six back home in Alaska. My gear only gets one chance for repeat use and this Marmot performed so well I bought more. They provide the 'comfort' level of warmth without generating overheating conditions. The fit, finish, and feel are second to none.
this is pretty awesome. very comfy and warm and i look pretty good in it. not much else i can say except it fits well and has no flaws, which is a pretty big deal in and of itself. this and the marmot lightweight bottom i picked up have made me a marmot brand whore.
Got this as a replacement for a midweight crew I have been wearing for years. Totally impressed with the weight, fit and overall comfort during our first few weeks of cold temps in Utah. Can't wait to rock it as my base riding this season. A little loose in the collar, but you Ute linebackers are gonna be warm when you stomp on them fancy Cougars from Happy Valley!!
This is a great base layer for freezing conditions where you know will be working hard on the hill. I sweat and this thing does not stink because it wicks the sweat off and the cocona technology actually smells like coconut amazingly.
These fit great they are not as fitted as the Under armor ones I have wide shoulders and the XXL fit well. No pinching under the arm. I'm a 50 inch jacket and 36 inch waist. Dried fast. Wore only this up to Camp Muir. in about 40 degree weather.
