I have always liked Marmot clothing, but wasn't impressed with these. They are exactly what I expected in terms of being light-weight. However, for the price and brand I expected them to be more comfortable. As other reviewers have noted, they were not at all soft for a base layer. Fit obviously varies from person to person, but these also didn't fit great. I am usually a solid Med for something like these (5'11", 175 lbs, 32x32). The length was good but they were kinda tight in the thighs, which made them feel a little restrictive, then oddly, the elastic waistband was loose. Just not right for me. I prefer the smartwool version (which is more expensive but worth it IMO) and recently bought the Terramar version which I feel is a step up from the Marmot.

Fabric was super itchy and uncomfortable. I'm sure the quality is fine and the fit was good, but I would not recommend these based on the comfort factor.

In general- good stuff. Enough soft and comfortable, but a proper size is a bit tight in thigh. The same size of Helly Hansen bottoms fits much better. I guess it depend of individuals and it will fit good to persons with medium thigh circumference.

Well talk about light weight ,
picked these up and guess they are made of like old coconut skins lol
talk about Going Green!! I picked the lightweight feel , will test them this week
It is around 40C in BeanTown
so if it dips into 30's will have some news on how they perform.

I give it a five, mang. Really, I think these are excellent - they fit me very well, they were extremely comfortable, and they make me feel uber sexy. The last part might not be the case for you. Still, they are very, very warm and the material is soft and comfy. I like most of the Marmot brand stuff I've purchased, but this was the first thing I bought and it really turned me onto other stuff by the company.
