Marmot Invincible Short - Men's - 2007

The Marmot Invincible Short infuses toughness, style, comfort, and versatility into a pair of drawers that will last a lifetime. It may not give you superhuman powers, but the Invincible does beg to go with you into the harshest environments—from trails to skyscrapers to underground lairs and everything in between. While the stretchy exterior fabric is tough enough to withstand abrasion from dirt, rocks, and rusty nails, the lining is Marmot's soft Driclime finish. A zip fly and integrated webbing belt keep the Invincible shorts right where you want them. Mesh-lined hand pockets let water drain should you encounter a creek crossing in your backcountry travels, and the gusseted crotch lets you scramble and climb without restriction.

comfortable shorts

These shorts are a pretty comfortable fit and the material is nice too. The pair I bought was to my normal size, but my waist is smaller now because I am in season working trail crew for the Forest Service. I was hoping the belt would help compensate for the relatively larger size of the shorts, but it is essentially worthless. The buckle does not hold the webbing in place so it will loosen up very quickly. The belt is also not suitable for attaching bear spray.
