Marmot Ice Fall Jacket - Women's - 2006

The Marmot Women's Ice Fall Jacket is hot little number. This quilted synthetic filled coat is designed with a flattering cut and technical features. Whether you're headed out for the night, or are packing up the car for the weekend road trip to Jackson, you'll appreciate the Ice Fall's DriClime wicking liner that keeps you dry from the inside. Added touches include zippered handwarmer pockets and a draft tube to keep the heat inside the Ice Fall where it belongs. Sweet colors and Marmot's unique quilting pattern add even more flair to this sweet coat.

Bottom Line: Just because it's cold, doesn't mean you have to look like a marshmallow. Or the Michelin Man. Or the kid from A Christmas Story.

cute jacket!

if you're looking for something hip and cute around town, this is the jacket for sure! the cut is well fitted and keeps the draft out. but if you need higher performance for the backcountry trips, this might not be the perfect thing. it's a bit heavier and bulkier than other synthetic jackets and wouldn't be my first choice to stuff into the pack.

Stylist and warm

By:
April 6, 2007

I did order a size up so that I could layer underneath if necessary. I think that was a good decision for me. Winter here gets quite cold. I have found it to be warm and comfy for everyday use. I don't think I'll get a chance now to test it on the ski trails (it's warming up) but it should be perfect with a light layer (and still fit well) on the trails.

Very Flattering

By:

This jacket is attractive and practical. The shape is flattering and quilting has a unique pattern. It's light and warm to boot. It's much better than this L. L. Bean jacket I returned, which had a papery shell and did nothing for your figure.

warmth with fit and style...

This jacket is sooooo warm and comfortable...but doesn't make you look like your mom dressed you to go and play out in the snow! It has a tailored fit and does run small, so be careful with the size.

Don't buy a size too big

By:
March 19, 2007

Definitely love this coat (except I wish it had a hood). I read the earlier reviews and bought a size too big. It was too big. So I'd go with the size you usually wear. It stays remarkably warm and is very stylish. I'm pleased with the purchase all in all.

Strong and Excellent

Actually, I’d rate it a 4 1/2. I really enjoy my jacket for early morning power walks at the beach. The styling is beautiful, full range of motion, and the DriClime liner does a fantastic job. Very comfortable jacket to work out in, or hang out in. The thermal quality is just perfect. The only issue I have is lack of pit ventilation, although I can cinch up the hem. Keeps you warm in the rain, although it takes a while to dry. Kind of a combo thermal and ski jacket. Very flattering fit. Very Marmot! Love it lots!
