Marmot Furlong Softshell Jacket - Women's

Though the Women's Furlong Jacket has all the technical features of Marmot's mountain-based softshells, its happiest kicking around town. With its stretchy, windproof and water-resistant softshell fabric and faux-fur lined hood the Furlong combines mountain-ready quality with city style. The princess seams and athletic fit of this water-resistant jacket give you the look you want without sacrificing performance. The Furlong is ready for a night out, and if a snowstorm rolls into town you'll be all set.

Bottom Line: From snowstorm to store run, the Furlong is ready.

Nice but ...

I was so excited when I read this jacket runs small. I am 5 ft 90 lbs and ordered the XS. The fur-lined hood is too heavy when it is hanging down my back. The fit was not good on me - the upper back was too loose, and when I tried to layer it over a sweater, the arms were too tight! If this jacket fits you, it is awesome and very cute!

hey - just bought this last week in park city (the vest though, not the full length jacket). I absolutely love it. I skied in it all week and then had to wash it, obviously. it's machine wash only - no dry clean; cold water, hang dry. the fur is so soft and dries just fine. even after being caught in a white out on the mountain the fur dried soft and oh god, I just love this jacket. I wish that i'd found the jacket and not the vest, but it's just as wonderful, i'm sure...i will continue to buy marmot - kept me very, very warm. buy this jacket!

I shoot trap and needed warmth without bulk. This jacket did the trick. It's warm, waterproof, wind resistant and flattering. And the hood stays up without goofy drawstrings!!!

Cute jacket!

Very cute jacket for shopping and running errands around town. Love the hood- very cozy! Sizing runs a little small ( I wear a small in northface and got a medium in this jacket.) Overall, I am pleased with this jacket, my only complaint is that it isn't quite as warm as I might have liked.

Love this jacket!!!

I love this jacket...it would not be warm enough for very cold weather, but for the Seattle area it's perfect!!! I did go a size up. But if you like a snugger fit, I would stay with your normal size.Love the hood!!!!

It's a pretty warm jacket. You'd be fine into the low 20's or teens. I don't know that they've rated it but my wife wears hers in pretty cold weather and hasn't complained about it. It doesn't seem to do well in windy conditions though.Hope that helps.

Marmot Furlong Jacket

Love this jacket! Very cute and cozy. I wear a small in The North Face and did not to go a size up. The overall fit and length of the sleeves were perfect for me. It definitely keeps me warm in teens.

My new favorite. I love to wear this jacket when out walking my dogs. We do a pretty energetic walk and this jacket fits the bill nicely even in very cold weather. The faux fur hood is luscious. The snug fit is just right.

Marmot Hooded Jacket

By:
December 16, 2008

I took the suggestion and went a size up. The larger size didn't fit as nicely as the smaller in a nearby ski shop (the arm length was too short), but still looks great. When I went to exchange for the smaller size, the color I wanted was no longer available (boo hoo). So I'll just have the larger altered. Still the nicest looking I've seen!

glad I held out for this one

This Jacket is wonderful. Its got a relaxed but flattering fit and is comfortable and flexible, warm and dry in bad weather. AND the faux fur tricks everyone into thinking im more trendy and put together than I ever intend to be! If you forced me to be critical about something it would be that it is a bit shorter than would be ideal for women with longer torsos (but that's also a personal preference). Enjoy!!
