Marmot Driclime Vest - Women's

The extremely versatile design of the Marmot Women's DriClime Vest makes it a popular choice for everything from trail running to alpine climbing. The wind-resistant, water-resistant, and ultra-breathable Marmot Defender DWR exterior protects you from light elements while the DriClime lining wick sweat away from your body so you'll never have to shiver in your own sweat. Wear this Marmot Vest as a mid-layer when you ski or climb in the winter, or take the DriClime Vest along during a summer hike for extra warmth if the afternoon turns out to be chilly.

Bottom Line: Wherever you go in the mountains, the Marmot DriClime Vest will be there to provide extra insulation and weather protection.

Still my fav vest

By:
October 22, 2009

This is my second DriClime vest. My first one was stolen, but I wore it hard for two years prior to it's adoption by a dishonest new owner. These vests wear like iron (case in point: my 2 year old hard-USED vest still looked good to someone else). This vest is super light-weight. I live in a windy windy climate, so this vest is key. It blocks the wind, provides very light insulation, and light weather protection. This is the vest that kept me happy during a marathon in a downpour. I can't live without it.
If you're looking for serious warmth, go look at the fleece vests, or the down vests. But if your looking for a super-light performance vest, this is it.

Perfect for Running/Cycling but not much else

By:

This is an excellent vest for just a *very* thin extra layer of protection when cycling or running or anything active. It's lightweight. There is no bulk, so it's perfect for throwing in a pack. What does not come across in the photos is how THIN it is. The material is very very (very) thin. So, if you're looking for a vest for a walk around town, this probably isn't the best option.

awesome!

By:
January 7, 2009

This vest was a gift for my girlfriend who describes it as "simply awesome". She wore it running one windy, 18 degree morning in the Colorado foothills and was "very comfortable" wearing the vest with a long sleeved mid-weight base layer and her dri-clime pants. She is generally a size Medium and the medium vest works fine for her. Now I can only hope she returns the favor next "gift giving" time around! ;-)

Thin Vest perfect for Summer evenings

By:
May 14, 2008

I got this vest for the spring/summer transition. It's perfect for early morning hikes when the day is not yet warm or late in the evening when I need just a wee bit of something over a tee. The material is light, easy to keep clean and compresses down easily. I'll probably take it out in the backcountry this summer ...

Super useful

I love this vest for climbing and hiking in fall and spring. It doesn't have a lot of extra room in the chest, so size up if you're more on the pineapples (vs apples) end of the spectrum. It's light, dries fast, and the chest pocket is handy.
