Are the pants still comfortable and maneuverable when there are

Are the pants still comfortable and maneuverable when there are things in the side zip pockets, say a compass or map or notebook? I ask as am used to large protruding leg pockets like on the MH Mesas rather than this style. Thanks.

Convertible Cruz

I like these pants. They do run large, however, getting the sizing right isn't a make or break for me. the pants are comfortable. the pants are durable. i like the gusseted crotch. there are enough pockets for me and the pants are easy to move around in. the shorts are just as good.

The Cruz Convertible pants seem to be running a bit large so I suggest sizing down one waist size.

I ordered a 38, which is what I wear in Patagonia and The North Face, and they literally fell off me. I'm going to try the next size down. I'd at least order two sizes and return the ones that fit worse.

NOT SIZED PROPERLY

Not sized properly! I wear 36 waist 34 length pants. Wherever I go no matter what manufacturer I try that size fits me. But not so with this manufacturer. The size 36L was 38-39" waist and 36" length. I exchanged them for the 34" R (They did not offer 34L)thinking if the manufacturer overestimates sizes that would fit. Wrong again! 34R was 34R and too small!
Each time I had to pay for returns. Either clearly state the actual sizes and buyer beware or offer FREE RETURNS if YOUR MANUFACTURER WHO YOU CHOOSE DOESN'T MAKE A 36 SIZE BUT FOOLS THE BUYER WITH WRONG SIZING!
VERY DISAPPOINTED!!

These are well made pants that look very good, but the sizing is significantly misleading. The 34-long that I ordered was perfect in the length but the waist was at least 2-inches larger than any size 34 waist that I've ever worn. Even a tight belt would not hold them up! That's unfortunate, and it will lead me to avoid this brand in the future.I'd order a 32-long but such a size is not available.
