Mammut Mirage Harness

The Mammut Mirage Harness gives you high-end features at a low price that's easy on any dirtbag climber's checkbook. Pre-formed gear loops provide plenty of space for a large trad rack, and the well-padded waist and leg loops increase comfort at hanging belays. The Mirage Harness also comes with Mammut's easy-to-use Slide-Bloc buckle on the waist-belt to allow quick, easy adjustments and eliminate the possibility that you'll ever forget to double back.

Bottom Line: Get high-end comfort at a budget price when you hook up the Mammut Mirage Harness.

Good value / entry level harness

By:

This is a good harness if you're just getting into climbing. The sizes seems to run a bit big though. I wear a 34 pant and can cinch the waist of the M all the way down. The gear loops are easy to clip into/out of. One thing I did not like is that if your sizing was not dead on, one of the gear loops would be farther forward on your waist, allowing quick draws, cams, nuts, etc to slip between your legs as you climbed. This makes clipping/climbing more annoying than anything. Compared to other harnesses in this price range, I think this is one of the most comfortable to hang/sit in.

Good Harness

Good comfortable. Sturdy (thank goodness), and pretty comfortable. It fit bigger than I thought it would, but I guess that means I have some growing room. haha.

Comfortable & Convenient

By:

Just got done climbing with this harness and I have nothing but good things to say about it. If you're sitting back in the harness working on a problem, you may as well be sitting in a recliner, it's that comfortable. Also, the gear loops are located closer to the front of the harness so placing quickdraws and other pro is much more convenient. All in all, it's a great deal for the price, I'd recommend it to any of my friends.

I have just purchased this harness and the fit seems to be reasonable.

I have just purchased this harness and the fit seems to be reasonable. The waist is perfect but the legs are semi-loose. Is this still safe or should i go a size lower?

The waist is the most important part, so if the legs are a little loose no big deal. I find that alot with harnesses, the waist fits well but legs don't or vice versa...I assume you adjusted the leg loops fully?

GREAT!

Love this harness!! It was given to me as a gift and I can't complain. i've sat in it for a while on multi-pitch climbs and it never bothered me. I usually run about a 32-33 waist in pants and i have this harness in large. This size works just fine for me. This is a great harness!

Good fit, easy to adjust.

Great fit, comfortable, easy to adjust. Only draw back is the plastic "protector" makes clipping in a little tight if your not using the belay loop. Haven't hand any problems with construction.

Excellent/Affordable Harness

This is a very comfortable harness. Size is larger than I thought it would be might want to purchase a size smaller than normal waist size. Gear loops are sturdy and easy to access.

Comfortable harness

By:

Harness has enough padding to be comfortable during long climbs. The side loops are good for holding necessary gear. Only drawback is if the wearer sweats during a climb the harness does not dry for quite a while.

Used this harness on my first canyoneering trip. It was easy to get into and adjust. Felt very secure and comfortable throughout the canyon. It was flexible enough to navigate through a boulder field with huge step-ups.
