Mad Rock Joker Climbing Shoe - Men's

A great climbing shoe looks fresh, feels comfortable, and sticks like glue. The Mad Rock Men’s Joker is a great climbing shoe. The unlined, low-stretch synthetic upper features a menacing skull graphic that warns gumbies to steer clear of your proj, and the offset laces and padded tongue make for a comfortable yet precise fit. Mad Rock topped it off with a super-sticky Science Friction rubber sole to keep you pasted on the rock until your forearms explode.

Bottom Line: No joke—this shoe kicks ass.

Pretty sticky, with a specific shape

These are quite nice to climb with for their edging and stickiness.

My foot shape has a high arch, is not too wide or narrow, and my 2nd toe is a bit longer than my big toe. So, these shoes are not really well suited to the foot shape that I have, as they have a lot of saggy empty space in the arch and inside foot area, and the toes are scrunched up a little too much for my liking.

I've only climbed in these a few times, so hopefully they will mold a bit better to my feet with use. The materials and construction should allow that to happen.

BTW, the laces are really long so you will end up with lots of tail on the knots. There's enough lace to wrap around the entire mid-foot if you like which can help with the saggy arch, but it means that the laces are more prone to getting damaged.

High Performance Rock Shoe

Glove like fit and a super sensitive sole make this my favorite shoe for hard routes where precise footwork makes the difference between success or failure. Whether i'm dime smedging on granite or pasting on limestone the Joker kicks ass.

They say go one sized down from your shoe size,to make up for the amount of sretch you will have in your rock shoes!
They still have to be comfortable!

Great precision climbing shoe.

I have been climbing in Mad Rock shoes for a few years now. The price you pay for the shoe gets you phenomenal performance on the rock. I am a big fan of the Flash Velcro, but this shoe takes it to the next level. If you are looking to climb high end sport routes, you will love the precision edging that you get with the Joker. When sized appropriately, this shoe could function as an all - around performer too. Just adjust the laces to the tightness you want for a perfect fit. On top of all this you get Mad Rock shoe rubber which is the stickiest on the market.
