MontBell U.L. Super Stretch Hugger #2 Sleeping Bag: 25 Degree Down - 2005

Rated to 25F and weighing only 1lb 13oz (significantly less than comparably rated down bags), alpine climbers love the MontBell U.L. Stretch Hugger #2. Elastic seams stretch by 40% to hug your body and eliminate dead space in the bag when you sleep while still allowing incredible freedom of movement. A drawstring around the foot baffle lets you open or seal off the last 8in of the bag, creating a perfect fit for tall and short users alike. Using Multi-Box baffle construction to contain the 725-fill down, MontBell eliminated dead spots in the insulation to guarantee you stay warm all night.

Bottom Line: Go light, stay warm.

This bag is by far the best bag EVER!! I usually sleep cold but this thing is so fluffy and warm I feel like I'm at home! I 'm not tall enough to fill the Regular length, but by stuffing the foot box in and cinching it off, it solves that issue and fills the dead space with fluffy down filled goodness =) Oh, and the stretch is genius!! So comfortable, in whatever position you sleep in!

Oustanding Bag

I am a member of our local county search & rescue winter team. After considerable research I have concluded Montbell's Hugger#2 is the perfect bag to carry. Three of our six member group carry the same bag! It is warm, light, reliable. Carry a Gore-Tex bivy/closed cell pad you are set! R.Howe / Oregon

Light, comfy, warm

I have the fortune of living in Boulder, CO where Montbell has their U.S. retail store and I can go in and explore.
I had never heard of them before, but now I know they make the BEST lightweight sleeping bags.
The stretch system is a cool feature for someone like me that moves around a lot at night. It's also cool when you want to sit indian-style in your bag.
The #2 also has three drawcords that are helpful to control temps. There's one for the hood, one where your neck is (to cinch a layer of extra padding and keep the heat in) and one at your feet.
These bags are very light and keep the heat in well. However, I would say that Montbell ratings are a little off. The #2 says 25 degrees, but I would say it's more of a 30-degree bag. Still not bad, considering its so light and I don't mind wearing an extra layer to bed if it gets chilly.
