MontBell Ultralight Thermawrap Jacket - 2005

One of the lightest synthetic insulated coats around, the MontBell Ultralight Thermawrap Jacket offers superb warmth at only 8.8oz (medium). Insulated with 50g of Exceloft, this jacket not only retains its warmth when wet; its weight only increases by 1% when completely soaked. However, with a DWR-coated 15d Ballistic Airlight nylon shell, you'd have to be in a downpour to get the insulation of this jacket wet. Made for ice and alpine climbing, the Ultralight Jacket is adds some much-needed warmth to your fast-and-light ascent.

Bottom Line: This jacket will quickly become your best friend at belays.

very warm and extremely light

Such an awesome addition to your gear collection. It's extremely lightweight and you look like you're wearing a trash bag. Not the best thing to wear around town, but if you're going to wear it underneath something, it's totally worth it. Much warmer than it seems.
