Mountain Hardwear Kahiltna Glove - Men's - 2007

Wear the Mountain Hardwear Kahiltna Ski Glove on bluebird ski days, Nordic laps, and cold-weather bike rides. Windstopper microfleece keeps ice-cold gusts from freezing your fingers, but it breathes well so your hands don't get clammy. The Kahiltna Glove's brushed polyester interior wicks moisture, and the welded PU palm and finger patches resist wear and improve grip. Wear these windproof Mountain Hardwear gloves alone or use them as liners under waterproof mitts.

Bottom Line: Cold winds want to foil your fingers, but the Mountain Kahiltna Gloves provide an impenetrable barrier.

Poor Value Others Better

By:

Purchased these based upon description as a sale item. Very disappointed with them. Other brands that i purchased in season (Dakine) we much warmer, stop the wind better and cost much less. The fit for these seems baggy and ill fitting. Awkward to wear and difficult to pick up a key ring etc. Connecting snap looks wear and flimsey. Style is lacking as well.

Even on sale they were well over hyped and over priced.

Excellent Windstopper

By:

If you're looking for a no-frills windstopper glove, this is it. I use it for winter hiking and jogging, although I'd grab something for warmth if I wasn't moving. It's not that these gloves aren't warm - that's just not the principal intent. Mountain Hardwear stuff is always well made too.

They do the job

By:

Bought these gloves to use as a base layer and so far they work great. They don't offer a lot of warmth but they keep the wind from freezing your hands, I also tend to be warmer than most people. They pack to the size of about a deck of cards and weight almost nothing.

Warmer then you might think.

This thin little gloves are amazing. I wear them whenever I'm doing something active outside. I was out while it was -30 degrees (without wind chill... Alaska) for about four hours and not even my finger tips were chilled. I was staying active but that still say a lot for these gloves. These are also a lot better wind stopper's then I've experience in the past with other "wind stopper" fleece gloves.
