Marmot Eco Pro 15 Sleeping Bag: 15 Degree Synthetic - 2008

Part of Marmot's UpCycle program, the Eco Pro 15 Sleeping Bag uses recycled materials throughout—from the nylon shell to the EcoPro 100 synthetic insulation. There could be a few hundred plastic bottles in a dump somewhere, but instead Marmot made them into this excellent cold-weather sleeping bag. Baffled construction keeps the insulation from allowing dead spots, so you won't wake up freezing on you next mountaineering trip. The Eco Pro 15 Sleeping Bag also includes an insulated draft collar to help you seal in every last bit of warmth during the coldest part of the night.

Bottom Line: Sleep warm, save the planet.

Warm and guilt-free sleeping

By:
November 21, 2008

I purchased Eco Pro 15 for a late-summer glacier mountaineering trip in the northern Cascades. The bag was warm and comfortable (even when damp) for my three-week expedition -- in fact, the Eco Pro felt a bit roomier in the foot box than other 3-season bags I've used. Add that to the use of recycled materials in its construction, and you have the formula for some toasty warm, guilt-free sleeping...

Yes, as long as you have opposite zips, i.e. one left and one right.

Warm, Roomy, and Light

By:

Comfortable and warm for anyone 6' 2" and smaller. The only downside is that the bag doesn't compress to a tiny size like other bags, but it makes up for it with the lightweight (thanks synthetics!). Also environment friendly!

At least as good as any other 15 degree bag I've ever tried, this increadile bag will keep you warm in a cabin, house and in anything but very cold winter camping (I live in Alaska), and the fact that it is recycled materials helps you sleep at night. Great product by marmot.

Great Bag. Typical Marmot high quality construction. I think the bag would actually rate out better than 15 degrees.

This bag will stuff nicely into a medium compression stuff sack. It's too bulky for a small size.
