This thing was amazing! went out climbing at castle hill (nz) temps ranging from -3 to +16 degrees C. and it kept me warm and toasty the whole time! the dual closure at the top is amazing, when its too warm for a hood but still cold enough so your fingers are cold just do up the shoulder chord and your bodys closed off to the elements! fantastic bag!

I love this bag!

By:

Since the first night in this bag, I have loved every second of being in it. Not so much room that you get cold, but enough to move around a little. I'm 6' and 220 so I got the long version and it gives me enough room to move a little and even wear an extra layer if it's really cold. Totally glad I bought it!

Can a RH and LH bag be zipped together?

Yes, in fact to zip together two sleeping bags, they need to be opposite side zippers (LH/RH). Also if the two bags aren't the exact same one, or the male and female of the same one, then make sure they are the same zipper type.Checked their site "Two-Way Zipper Sliders For Venting and Mating of Bags. Reversible Slider Tabs for Easy Use Inside or OUtside of Bag"

This bag is exactly as advertised and the for the price, you cannot go wrong. My toes don't get cold anymore!!!! It took two bad choices to get to this one. Save your money and get this one the first time.

Great Bag

By:
November 28, 2008

Awesome bag, quite warm (coming from a cold sleeper), packs down great, good weight/cost ratio, good zippers. 15 degree bag is an awesome all-purpose rating, too. Can vent it and not be pouring sweat on warm nights, or throw in a silk or fleece liner to add 10+ degrees on a chilly night! Just get a waterproof stuff sack - useless if wet...

The two are the same length (198cm) but the xtra wide has more room (bigger circumference) and is only a bit heavier. Check the Tech Specs for the details.http://marmot.com/fall_2008/equipment/sleeping_bags/outdoor/sawtooth_reg/info/details

Great Bag

By:
February 10, 2009

Used on Camp Temp's 16 - 20 at night, was great , warm and dry, Nice & soft, Easy to pack and light -- I like the longer bag to keep my change of clothes warm at the bottom of bag. Plenty of room , I'm 5'11' 200 and had plenty of room, Zipper was a little sticky - but most are. 2 draw strings one shoudler one for hood worked great - had a hard time feeling which string was which at night.

Great bag Luv it - will probably buy another for Son

Correct

I used the bag for more than 10 nights. In the coldest nights - about 25°F - most was warm, but - I sleep on the side - the upper shoulder was a little bit cold and there were few downs, as if all the downs had slipped down to the side.
Except of that it is a good sleeping bag. Feet are warm, zipper is good, weight and price is good.

I love this bag! really warm and comfortable! only thing is that the stuff sack it comes with is pretty big. I haven't had a chance to use it in really cold weather, but i've used it in 25 degree and it did great.

so far so good

I love all the extra features this bag has, from the zippered wallet pocket and 2 way side zippers, the top one glows in the dark by the way, to the cinch on the draft collar and loops at the bottom to hang the bag if it gets wet. I have played around with the main zipper more than I'd like to admit and must say it works like a champion, I very rarely snagged it on the fabric. I haven't however had a chance to really test the temp rating yet, the only time I've used it so far was when our power went out in my apt. over a weekend and the temp got down to around 45 degrees, it was too hot to use as a sleeping bag but worked perfectly as a blanket. As far as price, packability, weight, and overall quality, this is the best bag I could find, hopefully once I do get a chance to test it, it will perform as well as I think it will.
