Lead the way on your next cold-weather trip with the warmth of the Marmot Men's Guides Down Sweater keeping you comfortable every step of the way. Marmot packed this jacket with 650+-fill goose down to fight the chill, whether you're skiing in January or mountaineering in July. The Guides Down Sweater's reinforced shoulders keep your pack from wreaking havoc while you make your way along that exposed ridgeline, and the hand-warmer pockets thaw out your frozen fingers after you belay your partner on an hour-long ice pitch. An include stuff sack makes packing the Guides Down Sweater easy, and the articulated arms provide unrestricted fit.
Bottom Line: The Marmot Guides Down Sweater is always out in the front when the temperature drops.
It's my new attitude, I'm going to be warm all the time. Got this jacket because on sale fits great (most down jackets look really big on me) and is so warm can't wait for cold days. Wouldn't say this is a tec. jacket but great for winter walks and getting in that frozen car.
I've had this coat for about a month now and have thoroughly enjoyed its company. I went with this Marmot down jacket (its a jacket, not a sweater) due to Marmot's superior down quality and Marmot's fit for a guy with longer arms and torso. The design is great with my only complaint being the zipper pull on the interior Napolean pocket. The pull is a little long and can get caught in the main zipper. However, this is easily fixable with a little work on the owner's part. Pockets are deep and warm, and I have yet to be cold while wearing this coat. If you are looking for a down coat, I would seriously consider this piece (especially if you have longer arms or are a taller guy).
this is a cool jacket! very lite and super warm! i am a fan of marmot! i wear a lot of north face stuff and this jacket can match up to them! on super cold days this jacket will keep you warm!
I previously owned a Patagonia down sweater- when the zipper broke I returned it for this which is much beefier in size, warmth, and materials. Great for chilly belays when the other wasn't quite as warm. I also love the heavy duty double zipper because you can leave the bottom open so your belay device doesn't make the jacket ride up- very very cool for climbers. If you need something to move around in this might not be it but for powerful insulation that will keep you warm while standing still, this is the ticket.
I got this jacket (sweater) for my fiance for Christmas. What loft & quality! We looked at several different brands & kept going back to Marmot. They have better shell material & the construction is much better. The fill/down is also of a higher quality. Thanks for keeping them as a vendor! What a great company!
I love this jacket. It isn't a sweater like the name says. I wear this in the coldest weather here in Utah with nothing but a t-shirt underneath and stay toasty. I use it a lot when I am snowshoeing on the descent and stay so warm. I have worn it when my truck registered 1 degree and never got cold. You can't go wrong here.
During the limited time I've had this jacket, it's been good to me. Not been cold yet, but have also not overheated. Very nice balance in terms of warmth. Lots of compliments on the looks. Nice, relaxed fit. No complaints and I expect it to last a very long time.
This jacket is sweet. Very warm and cozy. I bought a large and probably could have got away with a medium. (5'7 170lbs) This was my 3rd purchase from this store and as usual it's shipped very quick. Only issue I've had is the colors have been different on 2 of the 3 purchases. I ordered a red and white jacket and the jacket showed up red and grey. This down sweater I ordered tan and brown and it showed up olive and brown.
I used this Jacket during a -42c cold spell for 3 weeks in northern Canada with nothing but a Smartwool Light baselayer long sleeve shirt. I could'nt imagine needing anything else
