Marmot DriClime Jacket - Men's - 2006

The Marmot Men's DriClime Jacket has been praised for years as one of the most versatile pieces of clothing you can wear in the mountains. Its combination of a wicking lining and a windproof breathable nylon shell make it an excellent choice for a mid-layer on winter trips or a stand-alone top in nicer weather. The DriClime Jacket weighs only 14oz and compresses well when it's time to stash it in your pack; though it's not likely to be in there very often.

Bottom Line: Do more with less when you're wearing the Marmot DriClime Jacket.

Nice windshirt, light jacket

By:
January 3, 2007

This is a decent windshirt/light jacket, but I'd caution those who'd infer from the reviews that this will replace your heavy fleece. This functions as a great windbreaker for the spring and fall, maybe as some extra insulation during colder times. Though this blocks wind better than a traditional fleece, your fleece is best used as an insulation layer under your wind/rain shell. A nice jacket but a little overpriced for what you get.

DriClime improvements worth upgrading

By:
January 22, 2007

We've been DriClime fans for years and have worn the vest and jackets for many outdoor pursuits: ski touring, backpacking, day hiking, cycling, running. When my husband saw that they changed the styling, he had to have a new one (even though the old one is still perfectly good). The neck cincher is a great addition and the chest pocket placement is more anatomically correct. The rest of the jacket is usual DriClime quality.

DriClime Jacket

By:

Love this jacket. It is lightweight and very durable. I have used this to replace the fleece layer that I normally carry in my pack. Good as a layer and an external shell.

Amazing jacket!!

By:
December 28, 2006

This jacket is one of my all-time favorite pieces of clothing!! I am blown away at how warm (not in a stinky, sweaty way) this jacket is. Since I bought this jacket, it has replaced a heavy-weight fleece in my pack on every hike, climb, etc. At first I was skeptical about not having some sort of draw cord around bottom hem, but the fit is slim enough that I have never needed one. Definitely worth its weight in gold!!
