Marmot Ultimate Ski Glove - Unisex - 2005

Marmot's Ultimate Ski Glove is waterproof, warm, and durable. It's a bold statement to label any product as the "ultimate", but Marmot is on to something with these incredible gloves. Two words define the Ultimate: warm & durable. The shell is made with Cordura reinforced with durable, supple, water-resistant Pittards Goatskin and then treated with a breathable Honeycomb coating. Even if these gloves were immersed in water, the exceptional PrimaLoft insulation will retain its thermal performance and won't bulk up leaving you with clumsy Marshmallow Man hands. A Gore-Tex XCR insert ensures that water won't penetrate, while a DriClime lining combats moisture from the inside by wicking perspiration away from sweaty palms.

Bottom Line: If you blow through gloves like you blow through powder, then these burly gloves are a must.

Truly Waterproof

By:
February 13, 2006

We've had a lot of rain this winter and gloves were the weak link in my outerwear. Seems likes most of them would give you about an hour before turning into sponges. These gloves truly are waterproof, very well designed, and reasonably warm. My only gripe is that the fingers of the integral glove-in-a-glove can become displace and are hard to get back into position.

Marmot Ultimate

I absolutely think these gloves are superb. I used them here in North Dakota when it was -20F and my hands were warm no issues. I used them in big sky and my hands stayed absolutely warm through 8 hours of snowboarding. Excellent product.

Glad to see a redesign

By:

I bought two pairs of these great gloves last winter. I used them up due to poor seam design on the palm. It has been redesigned, and now I'm excited again. Until the leather palm fell apart (I use them for patrolling) they were the best I had ever had. I can't wait to get my gloves back.

Ultimate Ski Glove

These are a great pair of gloves, keep my hands warm (with a thin pair of inners) even in -20C temps (tested in Antarctica) with 15knts of wind. They are hard to work with, but that is to be expected of a pair of that are this thick. The only thing that could be improved is having the cuffs wider as with such a long cuff these can be hard to get on over a thick padded jacket.

Great Big Gloves

By:
October 27, 2005

You know what they say about guys with big hands?
Big Gloves! ;-)

These are some of the best fitting winter gloves I've ever owned. Most XL's only allow mobility for the first two digits of each of my fingers, while the Ultimates fit... well, like a glove!

Warm, comfortable, and for my purposes very durable (I ride a carving snowboard, which involves frequent high speed hand dragging).
