Marmot Randonnee Glove - Women's - 2004

Marmot's Randonnee glove utilizes the finest materials available to earn its reputation as Marmot's premier ski glove. New this year is an improved women's fit. Now the Randonnee's fit for women is less bulky, while still allowing incredible dexterity. How do all these fine materials work together to keep you warm? First, the Cordura shell adds durability and breathability. The Gore-Tex XCR waterproof, breathable insert protects hands from the outside, while DriClime lining wicks moisture from the inside. Super grippy, water-resistant leather reinforces the palm and fingers. And finally, low bulk PrimaLoft insulates your entire hand. There's no weather condition gnarly enough to beat these gloves.

Bottom Line: One mighty fine glove. Well, actually two gloves.

Too big-Too small?

By:
February 28, 2005

Gloves are warm and dry as toast but the XS was too small and the Small is a bit too large. But I kept the Smalls because I don't think anything will keep me as warm. Also, the large cuffs have to be tucked inside jacket which makes on/off a bit of a chore.

Nice Gloves for Moderate Cold

By:
January 27, 2005

The gloves are a good all-purpose model that work well in moderately cold conditions. My fingertips got a little chilly when downhill skiing in temps below 20 degrees, but not sure if any gloves would have been better. They were a little bulky for cross-country skiing. They are very cozy on the hands inside, and fairly soft/supple on the outside. Palm is lined for good grip, they seem well-made.
