Was looking for a good all around medium to light weight sock and these "kind of" fit the bill. The socks were a little bit thicker than i had expected which was kind of annoying because I wear by boots tighter and smaller than average. The result is that my feet were more prone to being sore from over constriction. Maybe they will get better with wear, but that's assuming I have the patience to get them there. As per many other reviews, I also agree that these socks are too high. I didn't really have a problem with it but def came up past my knee.

Socks perform well and are definitely warm. The added stitching/padding is well placed. Fit is a little strange...slightly too long. May go right to or even over the knee.

My base layer has become 100% merino. Warm and naturally antimicrobial, it is unrivaled. Lorpens craftsmanship is top notch and are comfortable even in a narrow lasted boot. Mine are still going strong approaching 150 days of use. I would suggest these socks to anyone.
