As Angus said, merino does dry very quickly. And even if it's still damp, it will still insulate and will not rub your feet (although they might smell like wet sheep). That said, you could get some synthetic socks in addition to these if you are really worried, since synthetic will in general dry slightly faster than wool.

Yes it will. Merino dries very quickly. If the air is humid, everything dries more slowly, but Merino will dry quicker than most things.

Great Socks!

These hiking socks are the best ones I've ever had so far. I got the burnt orange - very cool color! I hiked Bright Angel trail and some parts of the Rim trail in the Grand Canyon - a total of 8.8 miles and my feet were totally comfortable in them! No itching and rubbing - my biggest concerns when buying merino wool socks. They are better than my Wigwam Ultimax socks. Will definitely repurchase!

Just what I hoped

Totally digging these socks. They are soft with all of the benefits of wool. Nice and padded on the bottom with good ventilation on the top. The lycra across the top helps the sock fit snugly and really hold its shape well. Love 'em!
