The Lorpen X-Treme Bike and Trail Running Coolmax socks will outlast all of your other cycling or trail running socks. Lorpen uses a unique blend of Coolmax, Lycra, and Polyamide to create a sock that retains its shape, resists movement and abrasion, and keeps your feet cool. The high Coolmax content (75%) makes this sock ideal for warm climates because of superior breathability and moisture-wicking capabilities. Thoughtful construction techniques are the benchmark of Lorpen products. These socks have increased material in high-friction areas like the heel and toes, but noticeably little material at the hand-stitched flat toe seam.
Bottom Line: The X-Treme Bike and Trail Running socks have everything going for them.
Let's face it feet are sweaty and thicker cushioned socks just get soggy. This nice thin fitted sock keeps your feet dry and comfy. I wear these socks everyday and have even run a marathon in them with no blisters. I love these socks.
Hey Backcountry.com guys, here have the blue colored ones gone? Bottom line: buy 5-6 pairs at a time.
I am very satisfied with these socks. They do not slide, and they keep my feet cool when the weather is warm and the humidity high. In hot weather, when I take off my shoes, I immediately feel the the coolness of the socks taking effect. Regular white socks pale comparison.
I also ran in these socks, and they performed pretty well. I'm a 8 1/2 and the medium fit me perfectly.
Well, all that Coolmax made my feet comfy. Im very impressed how well this sock fit, I use them for trail running and mountain biking. No sock shift or bunching = no blisters! Voo Doo and witchcraft obviously played a part in making these such nice socks!
I was surprised how cool and dry these socks kept me on a long hike. My feet usually get irritated by the end of long hikes because they get sweaty and hot and it was a whole different experience with these. I will definitely be purchasing another pair. If I could afford it they are the only socks I would wear.
overall an OK sock, it is comfortable, dries quickly and does not smell to bad even after long hikes. the shorty runs up higher than expected on the ankle so I mostly use it with hiking boots. I tore one pulling it on the other day, maybe not the strongest sock out there
These socks i bought for hiking in the dessert and they are great. I bought wool sock, but they got too sweaty and they hurt after a while. I had to buy a second pair.
I love these socks, the keep your feet cool and they support your foot as well. I have run 2 trail runs in these socks and they were very comfortable and did not slip around in my shoes like some of the other socks do and end up bunching at your side or toe area and give you blister. These socks do not do that and I would highly recommend them to any runner for road running as well. I have run some shorter everyday running on the road and they are great for that as well.
Strategically padded yet thin, cool and breathable, looks good...what more do you want in a trail running sock? I love how they fit my foot and don't move, let my foot move or bunch up. I got a Large for my 11.5-12 foot and it seems good.
I have never used special socks of any kind, but decided to finally get a pair to see what the deal is about. These socks actually help your feet stay cooler and the reinforced parts at the heel and toes really make a difference to make them more comfortable.
First time I have tried these socks I about went to my sock drawer and threw out all my cotton socks. I was in a race and could not believe how my feet felt. I recommend them highly.
I love these socks. I wear Lorpens trail running, and I wear their ski socks. The thin socks keep my feet nice and cool, and I love that they're seamless. They are also nice and cushy where it's needed the most!
I used to wear cotton socks. A few years ago I tried some Patagonia Capilene socks, which prompted me to ditch all my old cotton socks. I have since tried Bridgedale and a few other synthetic socks. These Lorpens are the besttheyre comfortable, just the right thickness, and less expensive than the others.
