Look PX 18 Legend Ski Binding - Wide - 2007

Beginner skiers, look elsewhere. The Look PX 18 Legend Wide Alpine Ski Binding is not for the faint of heart. It has a DIN that starts at 8 and goes up to 18 for the most aggressive skiers who push their skis hard and can't afford to have them pre-release. Look's PX Series bindings have a very short mounting zone, which provides strong lateral support and allows the ski to follow more of its natural flex. Look's heelpiece has a huge range of elastic travel with automatic re-centering giving you more time to recover before it releases and making it easier to get back on in deep powder and steep slopes.

Bottom Line: The definition of bombproof.

good but not perfect

I'm a 200lb very agressive skier. These bindings have worked well for me in the past but they finally broke on me yesterday. There is a piece of plastic that holds the heel piece in place. That piece cracked and the heel piece is now buried in the snow somewhere at snowbird. Also it would be nice if the brakes were a little wider.

100mm brake too skinny man. BUT. You can bend it out to fit its 9mm difference also get a ski shop to do that not you and another thing it would be better to look for a binding that has a XXL brake like 120 i have the scratch ghetto with a 84 mm waist and a 100mm brake so your better off not recking your new bindings.

Hi, i break bindings all the time, but these things are pretty much all metal, and can't be messed up. They have huge elasticity and won't come off after some quick chunk of ice. I'm pretty sure its basically the toe piece for they're high end race binding. My only issue with these is that they don't have a vertical toe release, meaning your knees are at a higher risk if your landing way backseat or something along those lines. Best performing bindings i've ever used

Bombproof

From the ashes of its discontinued pivot heel race bindings, the Look PX18 rises to begin a new era in metal high-DIN freeride bindings. Ski techs the world over welcome with open arms removable brakes available in various widths and a micro-drive heel to dial in forward pressure. The PX18 achieves the same torsional rigidity as its consumer level little brothers (PX14 and PX12), but does it with a bombproof all-metal housing and a shorter footprint on the ski. This allows you to control ultra-fat skis while still letting them flex naturally.
