The Dynastar PX 12 Jib Troublemaker Ski Binding's construction makes for a bombproof, yet lightweight binding that slays it in the park. The Jib's mounting platforms consist of 3mm shock absorbers that give awesome cushion when you're stomping rails and crushing the pipe and park all day long. The spring loaded heel piece creates a boost effect as you launch out of the pipe, or just transition out of turns—giving you added responsiveness from every ounce of power you put into the binding.
Bottom Line: The PX 12 Binding stomps it out all day long.
so, I have a mid-fat 88mm ski and would like to put this binding on it...I've been told that you can just bend the 80mm brakes to fit the 88 very easily, is this true?
They are bendable, and it is something you can do yourself. If possible, however, I would take them to a legit shop and see if they can do it for you just to make sure they dont mess up the bindings and retain their safety factor. But yes, brakes are bendable.
These may look super ugly in the store but when there on your skis they are pretty cool looking. These are on of the best park bindings out there. The green and red plates that absorb when you jump up on rails or take them off a jump they make a huge difference.
The only difference is the troublemaker binding is color-matched for the troublemaker ski. They're excellent bindings you won't be dissipointed. And they say dynastar on them instead of look.
I love this binding. It looks awesome, and it rides awesome. The Green and Red plastic underneath the binding don't act as a lifter but as a shock absorber, making you able to take impacts better. This is one of the best bindings you could buy. I haven't had a problem with them yet.
I'm getting a pair of '09 Scott P4's and have no clue what kind of binding to get. I don't need a touring one, I don't do much park but am thinking of trying more switch riding, also im all about the backcountry, debatably tight manuevering in trees, and like to bomb groomers.any advice?
I use the look px 14 wide brake on my bacons and love them, you could go px12 or the rossie bindings that are the same as the look, salomon STH 14 or 16 are good, or try the MARKER griffins, keep in mind that you will need a brake of at least 100mm and if you weigh more then say 170lbs and charge you sould go with a din of at least 14. All these bindings will work for you, it boils down to personal prefrence and price.
hi guys,i'm an advanced skier that loves the big mt/off piste stuff and i'm just wondering how these jib bindings will hold up outside the park? thanks!
Yeah People say there more for park but The Look Px's Dynastar Px's and so on also Rossignol's 120, 140, 150 and 200 are the same for free style and race also back coutry but you could go with these i think you should go with the Dynastar PX 14 Racing XXL Binding item number #DYN0198 (that's on here backcountry.com). More Din more metal heavier but someone would tell you thats suited for back country really there all the same. Also I didn't say the nx bindings and the axium bindings there really garbage.
