Life-Link Carbon Pro Ski/Probe Pole

Are you a snow geek? Do you read Snow Sense before you go to bed every night? If so, the Life-Link Carbon Pro Ski/Probe Pole will probably give you a raging case of dawn-patrol lust. This intuitive ski pole converts to an avalanche probe and features ten inches of lockable adjustment as well as Life-Link’s lightweight carbon and oval aluminum construction. Tired of poles that require bare fingers to adjust? This ski pole has a friction zone on the lower shaft to make it easy to adjust with gloved hands. *Includes both trekking and powder ski baskets.

Bottom Line: Be prepared for anything on the hill.

haven't had any issues with the lock. skied with these for three seasons with maybe 1 or 2 incedents. They were quickly corrected. Super light. nice not to have to carry a probe.

Functional and light

Skied these for three years, I have not had many malfunction problems as other reviwer has. I do check to make sure pole setting is locked down on every ski outing. Nice not to worry about carrying probe.

These Poles are Evil, EVIL!

By:
March 11, 2009

I've had these poles for a few years, and when they work, they're fine, but, like their cousin the evil copier, they sense when you are having a good time and then malfunction at the worse possible moment: extend to full length in the middle of a mogul run, collapse when you're cruising along on the flat.
